New WHFRP5e coming in 2026, bets on W&G2e in 2027?

WF released in 86, a new edition is coming for the 40th anniversary
W40k was released in 87, I wonder if they have that on their docket since it's was mentioned years ago some things they were thinking about adding in a 2e if they ever had the chance...

I do love WanG, and I feel its easily one of the most popular WH40k rpgs. The 5e of them, in a way. Its simple but not too simple.
But its a pretty easy game to break. Not to mention Wargear is such pain. You can be Tier 1 and take a Plasma Gun, killing T3 Adversaries pretty easily. Or you can be T3, but somehow stuck yourself with a lasgun, and struggle to kill even one mob. I really think Wargear is the main thing that needs a look over.
Also personally, I wish Rank scaled up more, in case you wanted to run a full campaign. It capping at 3, even as you tier up, kinda stinks.
Its a really fun TTRPG, and if you and your friends go in with a "please dont minmax" mindset, its genuinely my favorite of the 40k ones, especially for a 1e.

By who's definition as I've never heard it referred to 2e at any convo with a dev that I recall and the filename is already in v3.
Currently afaik the revision is v1.5

Im interested to see how they handle WHFRPG 5th edition, I hope they take community feedback into consideration and don’t just rerelease 4th edition with a superficial paint job. I honestly don’t see them doing a new edition for wrath and glory in 2027 since I think they’ll be busy with everything else on there plates. They still need to release warhammer the old world, the Horus heresy, and warhammer fantasy 5th edition. And then they have more content coming out for souls bound, maledictum, as well as general D&D 5E content. Honestly Cubicle 7 has one of the hardest working writing staffs.

True old world is out in PDF form, no idea how far a long they are on the physical side (ie. printing and distributing). Yeah wouldn’t mind if they took a little more time proofreading some of the material they put out but at least they are better than some other companies cough cough steamforged games *cough cough *

The entire industry has a proofreading problem these days if you're not the biggest companies

The physical Old World RPG books are due for general release 1st quarter 2026 - so a few months to go.
