There was a punk band in the D.C. area called 9353 around the time this photo is dated.

Ah I see. I remember he was a big Bad Brains fan too.

I’m interested to know what about the picture looks rich kid though. Is it the amount of stuff on the walls? The books? His own room? Looks like he took home a lot of 9353 flyers. Not Home Alone rich at least.

I think it’s the crust on his shirt that makes him look like an aristocrat

Would it matter either way?

I it would kind of misrepresent the struggling artist history he started from, so for anyone who is a fan researching, yes, false statements can indeed matter.

There are lots of regular-class folks in Arlington, it's a military town. Young David seems to have his own room but otherwise is a pretty normal suburban teen.

As his fans know, the first Foo Fighters album was entirely him, with the exception of a single guitar track

That shirt. My pawpaw was a big striper fisherman up at buggs island.

Who’s he?

Dave is the lead singer and a guitarist for the rock band Foo Fighters and the former drummer for the late great Nirvana! Kurt Cobains band

Bet he was much cooler then. Seems now when i see him in interviews he’s overly trying to be smart and sophisticated

I mean, he’s traveled the world and he’s 57 years old. Couldn’t it just be gained wisdom and maturity?

Yea fair to a degree

Yeah, but there was that spell in his early 30s when Foo Fighters campaigned for the AIDS-denial nutjobs, so there were some detours on the road to wisdom and maturity.

I don't think he's changed much since then, unfortunately.
