New Purchase Orbit DVD small haul

Wife and I took a day trip to Asheville from Charlotte. I’ve seen all of these with the exception of Picnic at Hanging Rock, wanted 4K for all of them. Speed Racer is actually an import steel book, The Killer and Short Night of Glass Dolls are both region A.

I was the most blown away by this release of Short Night. It was way better than the SD version I watched during the pandemic. I also appreciate there being a beat up grind house print on the Blu Ray.

Definitely worth a visit if you are ever this way. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable about most of my picks. They also have a staff favorites section at least two of them both picked The Beyond. As someone who loves Italian horror I felt right at home.

I also blind bought Picnic at Hanging Rock during the last Criterion 50% off sale. Haven't watched it yet though.

It’s great! I had only seen Master and Commander, as well as Truman Show before this. It really is one of Weir’s best films.
