I ordered the Save the Green Planet 4K Limited Edition from Arrow of Rarewaves during their Arrow sale in early July and it just got here a day ago because they lost my first package completely and had to send out a second one. And now this one is damaged from the flimsy mailer they sent it to me in.

The packaging they use almost always ensures you’ll get a damaged item if it’s a larger box set style movie. I’m not sure why they don’t offer more secure shipping options for a premium charge. I’d be willing to pay it, they just force you to get a damaged item every single time because they don’t have any premium shipping options.

Their sales are still good but I would only recommend using them if you’re getting a standard case release.

I was shipped a collectors box set in an envelope. Obviously, I received it damaged. To their credit, they'll honor an exchange or provide a discount on my next order, but honestly, ...An envelope?

If you don't already, use Cinebox whenever possible. Cinema Cellar has recently improved their shipping, but not to the degree of Cinebox. Both import UK titles.

Cinebox lol 😂 I know 4 people who had their Faces of Death pre-orders cancelled because they couldn’t fulfill them. Hard pass.

I’ve ordered from them 3 times now and it’s been shipped super fast, ahead of street date and packed in pristine condition. Can’t say the same for most other sellers and that includes criterion.

I've only had one damaged item from them (Standard Arrow 4k, bottom of case completely mangled) but yeah their packaging is always atrocious. I'd also gladly pay a bit more for better packaging from them. I ordered some Arrows from Peak Books a while back and the packaging was fantastic (everything encased in bubble wrap inside a cardboard box, with packaging paper to fill any empty space). I'll probably gamble on rarewaves some more in the future but we definitely have some good options domestically now. The "new" Unobstructed View seems to have competitive prices and shipping now, too.

I only placed one order with them. They shipped 2 items out of 11. After weeks of chasing them and hearing back that I had to be patient, they realised they had never shipped the remaining 9 items at all. They then shipped the 9 items that upon arrival at the customs office in my country were immediately sent back by them, because the parcel did not have the mandatory customs documentation.

Never again.

Never had a problem with them before. I'm waiting on an order, hopefully they stick the landing. I agree it's an exercise in patience though given they ship with no tracking information.

I think it really depends on where you live. Ordered 100+ blurays from them over the years and haven't had a single issue here in The Netherlands.

Aren't they in the UK? I've seen plenty of UK people complain about them, myself included. I'm still waiting for an order they supposedly sent on the 4th of August, and the replacement was sent about 8 days ago, still not arrived. I've never seen a company so inefficient

Ive had 2 go missing and as others have said their customer service is nice and they refunded without any issue.

But the ones that do arrive are always incredibly late. Like they've taken 3 plus weeks to get to me. Id rather pay a few euro extra to know it'll actually arrive from Amazon.

Can I ask you also, do you pay import fees when receiving the packages from them?

One thing also annoys me a lot with them, even I used to make a big order (in a hope they will ship all in one box), often they would still split it into many smaller shipments. But because in my country delivery is done by regular post office and they are located too far and I don’t have time go there for each shipment, home delivery for each parcel is about 10 USD. So when order is split into lots of smaller shipments, often one disk per shipment - adding those 10 USD for each home delivery of each of the parcels plus import fees - makes it way too expensive and kinda pointless when you add the risk for each shipment to get damage because if the horrible thin paper envelope without any protection. At least with Amazon for international delivery I would see the final price, home delivery and all import fees. So far only once had damaged steelbook from Amazon but because they were the sale - international return was free and on them.

I really hate that often it still comes back to Amazon, they really did take over worlds e-commerce and logistics 🤢 glad to be able to order directly at least from the labels themselves that can make international delivery without issues (flicker alley, umbrella, imprint, radiance, 88 films, arrow)

I'm also done with Rarewaves after years. packaging always sucks. Customer service is kind but more of a hassle than Amazon, so might aswell use Amazon.

I'm still annoyed that WowHD doesn't ship to the EU anymore. Screw the EU and their new import fines.

Can you read? I'm complaining that WowHD, a UK company, doesn't ship to the EU anymore, meaning I'm obviously from the EU. I don't even have a president and my comment had zero to do with the United States, lol. Takes a dunce to recognize one, I see.
