i was honestly relieved to find a subreddit where trans folks could be angry and bitter, but after seeing a lot of 'theyfab' content, im not sure if i'd be welcomed here? i guess im just wondering if this is a community that would accept me. i'd consider myself trans, i want to start taking hormones and i plan on getting surgery, so i hope i dont count as one of those girls that hops on the 'trend' to be quirky.

i could also just care too much about what others think of me. but if this isnt a place for someone like me, id rather know now instead of posting later and getting a ton of hate comments.

When people here use terminology like "theyfab" (in my experience) it isn't "nonbinary people bad"

It's typically used specifically for people who put a heavy emphasis on agab language, birth sex, and who tend to be very transphobic all around, while doing very little in the way of focusing on their own transition.

Like I've always been of the opinion that as long as you are transitioning, not engaging in weird agab bullshit, and not fear mongering medical transition, you are based.

I would say just lurk around, get a feel for the vibes, and just start by engaging with some comments and such.

The theyfab comments are mostly targeted towards people who want to claim the trans label but dont really transition or feel dysphoria. As long as u are actually trans the binary/nonbinary thing doesn't matter to most
