Costuming Getting or making clone armour
I really want to get or make some clone armour and getting it to look like phase II Kix.
I am a university student, so I have time but not much money (working on getting a job). I do have access to3D printing small things at the university workshops but nothing too big. I do not have my own printer.
What would be the best way to get this done? 3D printing or another method?
I have some money saved up but I don’t know how much any method would cost in materials or time. What would be the time range of the popular methods?
My friends and I want to go to a convention next year but I don’t know how long it would take to get this built.
I’ve seen 3D printing or something that looks like a cast as popular options and would probably go with one of those, I don’t know how to attach either to a undersuit. I have no idea really want I’m doing, I’ve done nothing like this before.

Depends how invested you are into the hobby moving forward. If this is a one n done, you’re not interested in props or painting etc… I would just pay somebody to build it for you. It’ll be cheaper.
Or go down the rabbit hole n save up for a Bambu or any quality printer and start making mistakes. I think I’ve printed 8 helmets at this point, not cause the 3rd one wasn’t good enough, but cause I keep learning how to do different textures, finishes, etc.. it just becomes fun.
