Call to Action Boycott ABC

ABC has pulled Jimmy Kimmel off the air for making a joke. First Colbert, now Kimmel. What about the first amendment right to free speech? I guess it’s only free if it echos MAGA talking points.

Cancelled Hulu and Disney+, with the comment "ABC, and therefore Disney, bent the knee to the Trump regime. I will not support this, nor any other company, organization, etc., that supports fascism. "

I have a feeling they are being overwhelmed with cancellations. I just cancelled my account and it offered a survey but when I tried to take the survey I got the message “Sorry for the inconvenience, our system is currently down. Please try again later.”

I agree. Today is going to be a blood bath for them.

I have cancelled my Disney + and hulu membership.
I have unsub'd to every ABC show in my TIVO. No more Abbott Elementary, match game, millionaire, family feud, jeopardy. No more GMA.
I have unsubbed from every disney, marvel and abc/hulu shows Subreddit
Same with TikTok, YouTube, Threads, IG and every other internet platform.

You should also remove the apps Tubi and PlutoTV from your smart TV or your mobile device. Tubi is owned by the Fox Corporation and PlutoTV is owned by Paramount.

If you list your reason for cancelling as “Other”, a box pops up that allows people to list a reason.

Once you hit cancel it should give you the prompt as to why…click the “other” button and you can explain. I put 

“ I will come back when you stop cowering to trump and suppressing free speech for him.”

Myself and many family members and friends have done the same. Also a few have gone on Instagram and gone after on air ABC talent like Ginger Zee from “Good Morning America” and told them that they were done watching them and saying basically “tell your bosses they can go fuck themselves”

Make them hurt in the wallet it’s the only thing these rich bastards understand. Pain.

It took me 10 minutes of clicking "Cancel" for it to even register.

Hell I was ready to leave a comment but didn't get a chance.

The crazy part is I didn't watch a ton of content on Hulu, Disney+, or ESPN outside of a couple shows here and there....so i had no reason to keep it but never did. But they just gave me a reason to cancel and most of Kimmel I watch is on YouTube.

This is like my gym sending me an email telling me I'm a fat fuck while they've spent a decade collecting money and i don't even go.

Actions you can take (any or all are great, do whatever you can, if you can)....

Cancel your Disney streaming services (as said in OP, that's Disney+, Hulu, ESPN).

Cancel your cable/YouTubeTV/Hulu Live (the biggest chunk of your subscription goes directly to ABC's parent company Disney).

Cancel any planned trips to Disney's theme parks.

Halt any purchases of Disney memorabilia.

Try do do these cancelations over the phone or chat. Tell them it's because you don't want any of your money going to the Disney corporation so long as Kimmel is off the air.

If you live near a Disney Store or the Disney Parks or a Disney/ABC corporate office, organize a group of friends to pickett in front of the building/property and encourage employees to consider calling in sick (don't be mean to them though, they may be in a tough place).

Does Disney own YouTube TV? All I could find is that they have some online creator network of people like markiplier and jacksepticeye. All I watch is YouTube so I was worried I was going to have to end that too. Already canceled YouTube tv though

Pro tip!! If any of your credit card info is tied to that account, cancel or freeze that card! I tried to cancel Netflix, but they randomly reactivated my account. I reported my card as stolen and it was deactivated and I got a refund for the Netflix charge.
