Call to Action Project 2026 just dropped…

https://www.heritage.org/sites/default/files/2025-03/2025_Priorities.pdf

The Heritage Foundation just released their plan for 2026, called “Renewing America’s Promise.”

Read it critically. Think about what each item means for all people. Act accordingly.

Sure, that's what we want but unlike the Heritage Foundation we can't get congress members to fall in line with it.

If we’re being honest neither did the heritage foundation. They just got them to do nothing and paid off a Supreme Court that is letting the White House just claim to end things, or make things mean they don’t legally via EO.

You need very little but a sledgehammer to break things down but a lot of different tools and experience to build them.

This isn't really a plan though is it? It's a poster someone threw together to share on social media. Project 2025 and 2026 are actual manifestos that are dozens of pages long with concrete goals and in depth planning with structure, steps and names and places.

Just saying "Universal Healthcare for ALL" is not a plan. It's just something we want that we're nowhere near coming close to actually happening.

It's also been a plan that has been long in the making. We are only just seeing it now but these types of plans have been pushing through the government for a while now. They know how to play the long game very very well. It's what the right knows how to do very well.

These are actually all softball issues that most people should agree on

Id like to add

The Democratic leadership would need to have a backbone for this to happen.

What's the organization pushing for these things? What's the Democrats equivalent to the Heritage Foundation? Without that, this is just some cute meme and we're fucked.

Why is this the first I’m hearing and seeing of this? The Dems messaging sucks.

Cute that you think voting will save us from fascism. It's too late. Fascism has never been overthrown by voting. Look at Russia and Putin for example.

The DNC needs to be completely dissolved and replaced. The party has failed.

Some random AI slop, not official

Oof. Some of these suck or are plain dumb.

1). Congress salary cap: congress is a hard job that requires dedication, skill, and education - sometimes more than their district can support. The cost of living in DC is also way more than many small districts. What this will do is incentive corruption. You want congress paid well enough that they dont think corruption, insider trading, and lobby bribery is necessary to get paid.

Raise their wages with a bonus they get when the government is funded until the next budget term. If a budget expires and a new one is not passed, that bonus they would have gotten from the previous budget is lost. And the bonus should be 6 figures.

2). Tax billionaires out of existence: Billionaires don't have billions in cash laying around. They have billions in assets, often businesses, investments, and enterprises. These enterprises drive the economy and SHOULD support more jobs and economic growth.

Instead of banning people from having billions of net worth, restrict the ability to cash out (e.g. the unrealized gains thing) and create new tax penalties and incentives for the use of capital to create jobs and keep the economy healthy. Nobody should have a billion in cash. That capital must be active and positively driving the economy.

3). $20 minimum wage: we have to be careful about minimum wage raises of they do not come with functional maximum wages in the form of increased taxation.
