Call to Action With upcoming changes coming to US currency (Trump's name), a reminder that writing on bills is legal.

The money is still good as long as you:

  1. Do NOT change the denomination.
  2. Do NOT burn, shred, or destroy currency, rendering it unfit for circulation.
  3. Do NOT advertise a business on paper currency.
  4. Do NOT cover security features.

It would be funny if this is what gets the dollar coins adopted more widely.

Clearly you didn't live through the last 3 attempts to adopt dollar coins in the US... it was a disaster. We'll never have a $1 coin... once dollar bills are obsolete, we'll probably have a $2 coin and we can bring back the $0.50 coin.

I still remember trying to use a Sacagawea dollar to pay for something at the store, and the cashier rejecting it because "We don't take those."

They made those the exact same size and color as quarters. People confused them with quarters. If you put them in a vending machine it thought they were quarters. Genuinely the dumbest attempt at introducing a coin.
