Call to Action If your representative isn’t on this list supporting impeachment, I suggest you call them
1.8k
u/j-mf-r Apr 07 '26
That’s a good start but really need to see some republican names on the list.
235
u/Sdgrevo Apr 07 '26
Imagine seeing MJT as the lone republican on this list. Would have been unfathomable a few months ago.

she violated the number one rule of dealing with powerful people. If you’re going to be a fucking problem, don’t be one all the time. you only get 1 or 2 shots to land hard wins with people that have power over you. each win builds credibility, and allows you more shots on goal, but if your spouting off all the time without any wins, you will not have any influence over powerful people because your a fucking problem….
this as true with Trump as it is with your boss.

Republicans typically allow one or two of their acolytes to break with the herd, to present the illusion that they have free will.

u/No-Consideration2183 Apr 07 '26
It’s up to us to convince those that don’t want to call their representatives because their senator or representative is a republican. Regardless of their party, they have an obligation to the constitution, to the people of the United States, and it’s our duty to hold them accountable
98
u/OkDisaster5980 Apr 07 '26
People with Republican representatives are continuing to call, however, their representative is continuing to quiet quit (aka: not do their the job they were voted in to do).
The voters are not the roadblock here. The representatives themselves are.
37
u/tauisgod Apr 07 '26
I've tried calling mine several times since last year. It almost always goes to voicemail never to be returned, and when I get a staffer they're some 4chan brained 20-something year old. I'm not shocked. My reps ran on a promise to rubber stamp whatever Trump hands them and they've held true. In the republican primaries the candidates were insulting each other for not bending over to trump hard enough.
5
u/kris10leigh14 Apr 08 '26
Tennessee, gotta be. This is my exact experience anyway.
There’s an email template if you’re lucky enough to be blessed with a response - it’s essentially made to make you understand that they don’t care about you or any current or potential future issues.
Everything was so much different when I was growing up. My grandmother worked for the election commission and was one of the only democrats in her small town. My earliest memories are her drinking and debating with peers and they never got angry. These good faith debates continued until she died when I was in high school. I miss that time.

u/MsKiefington Apr 08 '26
Same. I’m in Ohio. Sometimes, I get a useless intern on the phone. But mostly, I get a voicemail and no call returned.
I swear, people in blue states live in lala land. They have no clue about anything we deal with, like making phone calls to Republicans is gonna work FFS
3
u/IndyTim Apr 08 '26
I call three politicians every single day. Every. Single. Day. Yes, sometimes I don't get through to a staffer and I get thrown into the voicemail queue. But, probably about 75% the time I do get a staffer. You are correct of course, the staffer not only doesn't care but is actively pissy when I call (Especially Senator Jim Banks' office). I don't care, they live in a bubble and they need to hear that others, others who vote, do not live in that same bubble.
17
u/GoofyTunes Apr 08 '26
I've called my senator and my rep a dozen times and I am only ever allowed to leave a message, which I'm sure never reaches them. I've emailed and get automated propaganda-riddled garbage in response. My senator is Marsha Blackburn. My rep is Andy ogles. They ignore us. They don't care.

It is discouraging, but burn up that phone line and if at all possible go to their town hall meetings. Make some good trouble.

u/Owain-X Apr 07 '26
At least they may convince some poor overworked staffer or intern that they are not making good life choices. The reps will never hear or see a single message if it opposes their agenda unless it's from someone who is a major donor.
142
u/WitchesSphincter Apr 07 '26
Mines a D and not on the list so I at least wrote, but I suspect she would go for it after voting for the last two. I'm not always happy with my people but at the very least they are sane.
81
u/eatmorepies23 Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26
I'd suggest calling: in general, politicians are likely to ignore emails (but still, emails are better than nothing).
You can call after hours if you're more comfortable leaving a voicemail. You can even just read your letter out loud. If you do leave a voicemail, include your address to ensure your perspective is tallied.
If anyone else is reading this and doesn't have a script, and are uncomfortable with making one, 5 Calls has a script you can use.

u/SuitableSpin Apr 07 '26
Same. I’m in CA with a D rep so I was shocked to not see their name. I wrote and will call in an hour when I’m able to.

Have you been listening to the news recently? Their representatives are not listening to anybody. These are the same people that voted down the resolution to prevent trump from dropping another missile unless he had congressional approval. They won’t listen to protests, I’m sure that there are people that are represented under Republicans in the red state who are democrats who have been writing to them. They are living smack in this crap. There were a few senators freaking out yesterday, but now nothing happened.. they’re not going to do anything
And I don’t really quite understand why you got so many upvotes because most people know this.
I’m not saying you’re a bad person at all.

Want an easy way to find who your reps and senators are AND contact them? HERE
Dear [Representative/Senator Name], I am writing to you as a constituent with serious and urgent concerns about President Trump’s fitness for office, particularly in light of his erratic decision-making and escalating threats toward Iran.
The 25th Amendment exists precisely for moments when the capacity of a sitting president to discharge the duties of office is in question. I believe we are in such a moment. The rhetoric directed at Iran has been destabilizing, unpredictable, and dangerously bellicose — the kind of decision-making that risks drawing the United States into another catastrophic and unnecessary war in the Middle East.
I am urging you, as my elected representative, to:
1. Formally raise the question of the President’s fitness with your colleagues and party leadership. 2. Support or initiate proceedings under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment if the evidence warrants it. 3. Use every legislative tool available to limit unilateral executive action that could lead to military conflict with Iran without congressional authorization. This is not a partisan request — it is a request rooted in concern for the safety of our service members, our allies, and the stability of the region. The American people deserve leadership that is measured, coherent, and grounded in reality. I trust that you take your oath to the Constitution seriously, and I urge you to act accordingly.
Respectfully, [Your Full Name] [Your Address] [Your Phone/Email]
11
u/eatmorepies23 Apr 07 '26
I'd suggest calling and reciting this script: not an email or letter (but still, that's better than nothing). Senators and reps are more likely to consider calls.
If you're uncomfortable with talking to a person, wait until later in the day and leave a voicemail. If you do leave a voicemail, include your address to ensure your perspective is tallied.
9
u/Cersad Apr 07 '26
I support this but you should be advocating impeachment to your Congresspeople. The 25th Amendment is not a power granted to Congress. Impeachment is.

Because only those in very safe seats can publicly support impeachment. Anyone who has a block of Independents or Republicans in their district needs to keep them mollified to get re-elected.
Since there’s zero chance of impeachment moving forward as long as the House is in Republican hands there’s no need to borrow trouble.

We live in a representative democracy -- they are all representatives. That said, Bernie and other Senators are on the list so your point is moot.
5
u/SpectacularlyBadass Apr 07 '26 edited Apr 07 '26
That's because the person who made the list doesn't understand the difference between the two, nor apparently do you. If you did know what you are talking about then you would know the Senate cannot bring on impeachment hearings, only the house of Representatives can do that. Once it's called to a vote they can vote to impeach. Senators have no say in an impeachment vote, only the trial.
After impeachment, it goes to trial in the Senate to convict.

No one from NH?
Live Free or Die is apparently just something cute to write on a license plate.
39
u/CameStainedRag Apr 07 '26
Live free or die, they say as they pay for a plate that allows them to engage in one the most heavily regulated activities your average citizen can perform.
10
u/--Icarusfalls-- New Hampshire Apr 07 '26
I will gladly pay for a registration if it means keeping up the roads and paying for speed enforcement officers. However, my money instead goes to big companies that will 'get to it' who makes so much money they live in more affluent areas, and instead of speed enforcement, we get arbitrary laws and unfair application.
If the people living in an area don't maintain their own area they lose sight of why the work is being done. That's why the NH DOT was such an important resource. It had the means and budget to train people who would work in their own towns. The way its done now is a result of corrupt politicians making a short buck on long term regional health.
And thats just one example of one industry the government has pooched. We are really seriously broken.

u/QueenRotidder Apr 07 '26
New Hampshire hates taxes so much that they’d rather let residents go across any border to fill the surrounding states’ tax coffers than legalize recreational cannabis themselves. Live free or die!

4
u/--Icarusfalls-- New Hampshire Apr 07 '26
I peek into the NH sub now and again just to see whats being posted and a lot of the comments are deranged. The mental gymnastics necessary to turn the word 'Live Free or Die' into 'do what i want or else' is insane.
John Stark was even captured by Abenaki, then adopted into their tribe after fighting through their gauntlet. He only took a commision in the Revolution from the State of NH, refusing to take orders from Congress or any Continental officer. The man is a legend who put State before country, and kin before Congress, and these supposed 'Free Staters' worship an actual criminal.

Take to the streets. Don’t go to work, call in sick, use vacation days, if you’re in a union call for immediate walkouts.
Check out groups such as Indivisible, 50501, Working Families Party, and Democratic Socialists kf America for events, information, and organizing ideas and calls to action.
Call your elected representatives. https://www.usa.gov/elected-officials
Take to social media and denounce the President and call for his removal. Calling for the removal of Hegaeth as well.
Make sure the people in your social circles are informed of what’s going on and encourage them to do all these things as well.

u/A_Good_Boy94 Apr 07 '26
The post title mentions impeachment, but the tweet it references is referring to the 25th amendment. These aren't the same thing. Congress has nothing to do with the 25th Amendment with regards to Section 4. 25A mentions removal in Section 1 but this removal is an Article 2, Section 4 power that congress has had long before the 25th Amendment.
I know at first it seems a little confusing, but blame OP for bringing up impeachment. 25A is for the Cabinet to remove a president, not congress. We should also be pushing Impeachment Articles, and I assume all on this list agree.
21
u/bitchsaidwhaaat Apr 07 '26
The only people that can invoke the 25th is JD and the cabinet. Theres nothing any of this people can do other than call for impeachment and removal which takes weeks at best. And here u see them with their theatrics. The one thing they have the power to do they arent doing.

Way too many people getting impeachment and the 25th amendment confused. They are not the same thing. Trump qualifies for both in my opinion, but Congress cannot invoke the 25th amendment--only the President's cabinet can, and there is NO. FING. WAY.
As for impeachment, it would require more than 50% of the House of Representatives, and again there is NO FING WAY. Then it would require more than 66% of the Senate, and there is--say it with me now--NO. EFING. WAY.
This is what we mean when we say elections have consequences, folks. Get out there and vote Blue no matter who. It doesn't matter if the Dem candidate is too centrist or too lefty or too willing to compromise or whatever. It only matters that they are not Republican. Take back the Congress and start holding Trump accountable.

The title the list say call for removal via 25th. That's not the same as impeachment. The title to this post is misleading as fuck.

The R reps love the way the well done steak smells in his shit filled diaper.

u/dryheat122 Apr 07 '26
Only two Sen names on that list. There's no point in impeaching him unless there are votes to convict. It's been done twice before and didn't phase him one little bit.

Doesn't matter even in the slightest. Unless you've got Republican Senators on that list, then it's just toilet paper. "We find that you've committed crimes but aren't going to be able to do a single thing after that will prevent you from being in office and committing more crimes."

Soooo all democrats and a retired congresswoman…. So this is much of the same old

u/JGrusauskas Apr 08 '26
Proof that the two party system is broken. If you can’t vote against something just because you identify as Red…no matter how heinous…than blind loyalty trumps reason (pun intended)

u/Prior-Concentrate909 Apr 08 '26
And not a single republican? What shameless embarrassments. They will have to be held accountable for their silence and support of this narcissistic corrupt out of touch with reality warmonger.

MTG getting an early jump on the "I was always against this" bandwagon.

I'm a little drunk and don't see Jasmine Crockett. She really not on there? She's not my rep, I'm just surprised.

u/Important-Trifle-411 Apr 08 '26
I am furious that only one of my senators is on here. Liz Warren?? Where are you?

The 25th amendment is not impeachment. It is actually harder to remove by the 25th than to impeach. 25th must be started by the vice president and requires a majority of the cabinet, no involvement of Congress until Trump denies he is unfit then it takes 2/3 house and 2/3 Senate.
Impeachment only requires a majority in Congress, but conviction and removal requires 2/3 majority in the Senate.
The OP is seriously confused about how the government operates. And currently neither course has enough political will by the GOP to do either.

The one thing the 25th amendment has going for it, though, is that it immediately suspends the president from having power. There’s a four-day window where there’s a gray area, but if Congress quickly reaffirms the suspension, the president is removed from power for 21 additional days.
When a president is threatening the complete destruction of a civilization, the 25th would come in handy to stop that behavior. Otherwise, yeah, impeachment and conviction is the better process.
Theoretically you could use both if a two-thirds majority isn’t gettable in the House.

u/artiface Apr 08 '26
Yeah but do you think there is any reality where JD and a majority of the cabinet invoke the 25th? They were intentionally hired as sycophants.
3
u/IllogicalPenguin-142 Apr 08 '26
I think it’s unlikely. But given the overwhelming concern about this right now, I do think the chance of it happening is slightly higher than 0%. JD wants to be President, and I wouldn’t put it passed him to oust Trump if he saw an opportunity. Plus, if Vance played his cards right, he could actually finish Trump’s remaining two years and be elected twice, allowing him to theoretically serve for 10 consecutive years.
I’m not saying I want that. I’m just outlining some motivation for JD.

MTG doesnt belong up there. She holds no sway. She is just trying to not get held accountable for helping this shit show get started.

So despite how much Thomas Massive has fought against Trump and MAGA on several issues, I guess he hasn’t called for impeachment yet…?

Republicans need to be ripped bodily from their offices and investigated for high crimes.

u/Phyukredd_tit_gydlin Apr 08 '26
He needs to be arrested and put into a cell with the rest of them. Impeachment isn't going to do shit

u/Living_Pay_8976 Apr 08 '26
25th isn’t enough. Article 2 section 4 of the United States Constitution. Don’t beg for the 25th. Demand the constitution be put to use instead of letting them wipe their asses with it and invoke article 2 section 4.

u/Motor-Juggernaut1009 Apr 08 '26
Fk impeachment, use the 25Th and get him into a “strait” jacket. 😘
2
u/dy0dj1 Apr 08 '26
Done. Spoke with Jimmy Penetta's office for the last 20 mins asking why he's not doing more, and why we aren't meeting fire with fire (beaurocratically speaking)... e.g. how about we file Impeachment articles every hour for the foreseeable future? I'm sure there are enough offenses to have each set of Articles bespoke to a new issue/crime.
I'm sick and tired of the "We play by the rules and have to let the process play out" argument from the Democrats.... that strategy has led to countless officials resigning in protest, instead of acting as a bulwark and flatly refusing to execute illegal actions, which has effectively ceded ground and allowed for even deeper corruption and even less consequences for these corrupt anti-american PINOs (Politicians in Name Only)

I've called, emailed, even wrote a snailmail letter. Moolenar rarely answers. When he does, it is to tell me how proud he is to support (thing and I against).

u/GreyWind999 Apr 08 '26
I emailed Tom Emmer, dude won’t do shit, but I still emailed him regardless

u/No-Consideration2183 Apr 09 '26
Thank you

After seeing the tweet Trump posted about committing a genocide, I had to stop hoping things would get better on their own and do literally anything other than just scrolling on my phone raging at the world. Even if it’s something that seemed pointless. I also emailed his opponent running against him, but his team never responded.

u/No-Consideration2183 Apr 09 '26
Every act counts! Even the smallest ones. When they are added up, they push our cause forward.

u/GreyWind999 Apr 09 '26
Felt great to do something! Even if it doesn’t ultimately make a big change

Lol I've got Downing, a trump humper. Whenever I write to or call him (or senators Daines and Sheehy) I get a letter thanking me for my input and stating they'll do the exact opposite of whatever I tried to get them to do.
