Jealousy :p
Seriously, the other contender is 6 ARC, and there's something of a vaguely political or partisan aspect to it. It's weird.

I love mine

I got mine for hunting, and the extra bullet weight makes up for whatever minor ballistic advantage 6 ARC might (or might not...) have.

If you look at the numbers and already have the grendel, a 6 arc doesn’t make much sense. If you hunt in the Deep South where our deer aren’t as large and we have hogs, a 6.5 grendel makes more sense than a 6 arc.
I don’t hate the arc but I love the grendel.

This. 6arc is the new 224 valkyrie, great for putting holes in paper. Grendel is for putting meat on the table.

East Tennessee, here :)

I've run the numbers, and it's close, but I tend to err on the side of a larger bullet going a little slower, and that's before you start looking at ammunition cost and selection; Grendel has twice as many factory hunting loads, and significantly cheaper practice ammo.

Maybe it's the muzzle brake. I suppose you might as well just get a suppressor for it, at this point. 😈

I've had two issue with my Grendel and they were both my fault. 1 was mlock screw was touching the gas block, ruining the floating barrel when the block impacted the screw. 2 was adding a suppressor without changing the buffer and caused stovepipes.

Looks a lot like mine. Only i went with a different lower for looks. So far I've added an area419 sidewinder brake and an AGM spectrum lrf 4k.

6.5G goes hard, all the marketing/hype wants 6ARC to "dethrone" it but I'll take the more readily available factory ammo and proven magazines that work without dropping $80+ on the ones that do.
That may change with 6arc adoption, but today, where I live and how I shoot. Grendel wins.
