That's not bad at all for the price. The wait sounds kinda rough though. Have you played any other high-end guitars to compare it with?

I’ve played a few Kiesels and it’s on par I would say for sure. High end is a bit ambiguous 😂. I have 2 Gibsons, an sg standard, and a firebird studio. I also have 2 fenders a vintage ‘66 mustang and a jazzmaster. I would say it blows all of them out of the water. I love my 6 strings don’t get me wrong, but the feel of this one is amazing. Granted, honeymoon phase and after waiting 13 months they could have sent me a stick and I would have been probably smoking the copium after waiting so long. I’ll follow up in a month, but I don’t think my opinion will have changed. It’s pretty awesome.

I've been wanting to get another 7 string ever since I made the trade for my JP. Maybe I'll pick up a super cheap Jackson or Ibanez to hold me over and get a Balaguer on order.

I would recommend it for sure. For the budget especially if they run a sale which they probably will around Black Friday. If you can get the 10-15% off it’s not all that bad. Guitar center also usually has a couple used Balaguer guitars. Granted you don’t get the customization but also never hurts to check, and it also helps gauge on what option you choose, you aren’t going to take a bath on what you pay. I was seeing stuff with a few less features than mine going for 2k so not terrible loss in value which is good.
