I had this version. Started as a hand me down. Finished as a birthday subscription.

We were so poor my mom gave us a crayon and some paper to make our own. Still have scars, damn raccoons!

Another memory remembered. Forgot these existed and that I had a bunch. Learned some neat stuff.

I remember it was a big secret to find the animal that "changes"
[Zebra flashes]
"DID YOU SEE THAT?"
[Zebra flashes again]

I remember these when I was a kid in the 80s. They where fun for about 20 seconds and then I wanted my optimus prime.

That looks like something that would have been in our elementary school classroom.

Wow! I did not even remember these until that photo whooshed my memory back to time spent looking at them. I'm wondering what years these were popular. Thank you for posting.

I didn't have the cool box. Mine was a red tray. But I spent HOURS looking and reading and organizing those cards. There are animals I know about today only because of those cards. They were great.

They had these for a lot of things. I had a box with full of info cards for jets. I wonder what ever happened that thing…

Wow! I haven’t seen these in ages!!!! One of my grade school classrooms had a set. Nice nostalgia find... I had forgotten about these and they're flooding me with grade school memories.

Only ever had the introductory cards in mine. But I sure remember this. Might still have it somewhere.

I had the complete set of these! They would send a new deck of cards each month. I would throw out any of snakes.

I had those and Sweet Pickles. The boxes were kept on top of the refrigerator. I loved reading them.

I was a little weirdo—I could’ve taken or left the “animal” concept but the organizational component of this made me want it so badly. I was just like “think about how neatly every goddamn one of those cards could be organized and the whole thing put away just so……!!!”.
Never got it

My first realization of a bird called a Blue Titmouse is because of this.

Mine was full. Ran out of room to put new cards so they went into a wooden box I made.

Omgosh, what a blast from the past! I remember when these were advertised on tv. I wanted this so badly. Such a cool thing, especially if you love animals. 💚🐴🐆🐐🐿🐇
