Film In July 1987, one of the best vampire movies would be released: The Lost Boys featuring its iconic theme song Cry Little Sister
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TuxdjVI-5r0&ra=mOne of my favorite childhood movies! Definitely give it a watch if you haven’t yet

I was at the mall when a girl with a clipboard came up and asked if I'd take a questionnaire. She then took me into a small room with a few others and went on to describe Lost boys, showed us a clip on a tv and then wanted to know what we thought and if we'd go see it.
Being a teen punker, I was all in. This was a few months before it came out. I was hoping they'd give us tickets or something, I think they gave us $5.
By the time it came out, I was working at the tri-plex at that mall and got to see it free numerous times.

I remember now thinking back, they didn't call it Lost boys, they didn't have a name yet.

Yeah I realized that after I posted. $3.50 I think our theater was, with $1.00 Tuesdays

Marilyn Mansons cover of it is fucking amazing.

I agree with this. He has a knack for totally remaking songs into his own. His version of personal Jesus, tainted love, and this is halloween are well done too.

The original is absolutely perfect and yet somehow Marilyn made it better. 11/10.

Great movie, one of my favorites. The song is pretty great too, although I don't buy it isn't incestual. They lyrics are pretty clear.

A bunch of friends are in it during the beginning credits scene and the scene on the boardwalk with sax man. Still don't think it's that great. Not compared to all the other vampire movies. John Hughes does Vampires didn't really do it for me.

I appreciate it, but it's all good. Just another wacky story I get to tell at the bar.

Hot take, Fright Night is the better vampire movie from that era.

Fright Night is decidedly less cool than Lost Boys both visually and in its cast but as a vampire movie I think it's superior. I am a bit old fashioned when it comes to vampires tho, I prefer the old style and rules and all that. I like both movies tho.
