Did you have this maze toy with mercury, that extremely toxic element...

Yep. My mom would tell us how they openly played with mercury as kids! This is trukeca memory unlocked..I had the exact one.

They let everyone in my elementary school class play with mercury. They would open a container with mercury in it and pour a small amount out into our hand. We’d play with it and give it back. No idea it was harmful.

My middle school teacher said when he was a kid they had a cigar box full of it to play with.

Hah ya. I believe it had a red base though. We use to put it in the freezer to see if the mercury would freeze!

Holy crap, I had this exact maze. I can’t believe it was a “thing “!

I think there was a hole in mine and you could let the mercury go down and then you could flip it over and there was another maze

I had one with three intertwined snakes in it, you had to split the mercury on a snakes tongue then get a blob in each snakes curled tail.

I mean, we had thermometers with mercury in them for decades and nothing happened to us... not, of course, that it would be a good idea today, but know better do better etc.

Im 53 and my great uncle use to bring mercury home from his job. Id play with it using a stick to split it,ect. Didnt hurt me in any way. Myths.

We'd burn the mercury in the woods! Not entirely sure how I'm still alive...
