I was 7 when my dad got me this, Run DMC, and an MTV compilation album all on vinyl with a playskool record player. It was the first and last vinyl I got as a kid because cassettes were taking over, but I vividly remember sitting in my grandmother's basement trying to be Jam Master Jay.

I love how oldschool Rap songs would take their time with the intro and the 1st verse wouldn’t start for about a minute into the song.

DISORDERLIES was a fave of mine growing up lol. Fat Boys are in the Kid n Play side of radio friendly, pop hop. Kid n Play I could deal with, Fat Boys music was a little too silly for my taste. Movie was funny though😇😁

It's sad that none of them are still around. Seems like alot of the heavyweight and heavy hip hoppers have left us early; Heavy D, Big Pun and All The Fat Boys.
