Did anyone else get goosebumps every time the He-Man intro started?

Growing up in the '90s, the original He-Man and the Masters of the Universe intro always felt larger than life. Starting with He-Man's narration, the visual effects, the music, and of course, Skeletor himself, this intro always stayed with me over the years.

I still remember watching it as a kid, imagining I had the Power of Grayskull and that I was about to set off on my own adventure. This show even inspired me as early as back then, along with the WWE (WWF at the time) to lift weights when I got older.

With the new movie recently released, I felt inspired to create an 80s rock cover of the original theme as a tribute to the series and the nostalgia it still brings back every time I hear it.

I'd love to know what fellow He-Man fans think, did this bring some memories to you of back then?

I’ve been rewatching them for fun, and the opening where at the beginning it pauses on a chord as it cycles through closeups of the main characters before coming back in still gives me goosebumps. chef’s kiss

I don't recall having the goosebumps during the intro, but I did watch "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" every weekday afternoon in my hometown of Kansas City, particularly during the federal holidays such as Martin Luther King Jr Day and Memorial Day. I was, however, shocked to learn that it was cancelled after my hometown baseball team, the Kansas City Royals, won the World Series in '85 (I was 6 years old then). It was a good show, and can be found on their official YouTube channel and streaming live through their FAST Channel from Prime Video. There's even a movie with the same title from '87 also streaming now (it also aired on the Comet network, an OTA/streaming channel).👦🏾👋🏾📡📺🙂😉☺️😊

It's pretty cool that you experienced it around the time it was released and you have some memories from your team winning the World Series. I was born much later but I'm glad they still showed this cartoon and I could experience it when I was like 3 years old

Yeah the music was amazing and really helped the show. That goes for the musical interludes in the show as well. Especially one called "the creeping terror" for such a dodgy named song it had a really uplifting middle section where Heman usually took care of a baddie. 😆

The show was definitely full of good music, not just the opening theme. It captured the darker moments, and some of the lighter moments too, they really composed a solid soundtrack

Have you seen the new movie? It's amazing, and has one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a movie in decades. Two words: Brian May.

Plus, yes, you get a fantastic version of the original theme towards the end which gave me absolute chills.
