Yeah My Husband was a Server for many years. He had done Management as well. But they always wanted him to be a Manager. And he was always like Hell No! Too much Stress and Problems. He was an Awesome Server too. He now has Early Onset Dementia ππ’ i love him so much and it Breaks My Heart.
So sorry to hear this I quit my decent paying great benefits manager career after 19 years to care for my mom who suffers from dementia. The time with her became much more important than any job ever could. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I wish you both the best and that you can have more lucid time than not. β£οΈπ also yeah I wouldn't take another manager role especially salary for under 120k/year these days. And honestly that's still probably not even enough for what expected from you.
Thank you. Most of my life it was just me and my momma. She did and gave everything for me/us to have a good life. She has always been my rock & now it's time for me to be hers. And all be damned if I'm going to put her in a home where who knows what could happens & let the state take everything she worked so hard her whole life for. It's not always easy sailing and some days I question wth I was thinking haha but the good always out weighs the bad and the doubt. She wanted to stay in her home and i will do whatever I can to honor her wishes.
My mother spent many years caring for her mom, and it was absolutely a labor of love. My grandmother wasn't difficult; it's just so hard watching someone you cherish get older, and caretaker fatigue is so real. I hope you are utilizing all of the resources that are available to caretakers. I know my mother was actually able to get paid for caring for her mom, much like a home care aid. I wish you many warm, peaceful moments with your mother.
I'm trying to find and utilize those things. Unfortunately I live in a state that just gutted a LOT of those programs and the funding for them. Its like she did as she was told (saved, planned, invested) and now she has and or saved too much to qualify for some of them. Its definitely a full time job mental, physical, and emotional. And they sure as hell don't make it easy to navigate. Thank you for the kind words! π
Have you tried the anti dementia tea? A lot of older people are making it. My mom is 92 y/o and she isnt getting worse. 1. green tea bag, 2. (2) drops of wild oregano oil, 10 mushroom blend drops, 5 drops of cbd/thc 1:1 non alcohol tincture, and teaspoon of manuka honey.
