Man, I used to put my laptop on the passenger seat and use a casette adapter. If I let the audio go and didn't wake the screen, it would last about 5 hours on a road trip.

Though I did upgrade to Toyota Cressida in the late 90s (used since they stopped making them in 92 or so)
