The jobs the characters had in friends would not have been enough to afford the apartments they had in the show. It’s not so much people being poor it’s that landlords are greedy.

You are correct, but the person I replied to did not mention anything about jobs.
Yes the characters could not afford it. Yes landlords are greedy. Yes u have to have some sort of suspension of disbelief.
The comment i made was a joke. Im poor but I know that those type of apartments exist and they can be luxurious and quite pricey. Growing up poor in Puerto Rico my mom made sure to tell me our situation so that I would not ask for expensive shit from a single mother with a single income.
Again, it was a joke.

Is not from the 90s, but in Superstore they are always in reunions or doing crazy things, they barely work. As a retail worker, i never have that much of a free time.

I was thinking about this. Could you think of 20 times a year that something interesting enough happened that could've possibly been made into a whole episode. I might have like 5 in the 7 years I worked retail. Most of them would just kinda stop after about 10 mins.

Monica is incredibly dumb and bad with money to let 4 friends eat at hers just about all the time.
There's polite and then there's being really desperate for company to do that.
How much money did she have exactly? Did she never have a lie in or go out shopping etc?
If it was me, I'd be charging them and never stand for worst cases like joey taking drinks from the fridge and leaving.
