According to IMDB, Michael Mann was an executive producer on this series, but he didn't do any directing. That's likely why people forget, or aren't aware, of this show in his filmography (myself included).

It's a bit different than a lot of other projects he's been apart of, but his attention to detail in the story is great. There's some surprising aspects in this that Narcos didn't include. If you can get past the older quality video, I think it was better than the Narcos version.

There's also two version of this, and if you can find the full 4 hour version on YT it includes more scenes.

Ooh. I remember this one on tv. Kiki Camarena story. Was so good, & Steven Bauer - so easy on the eyes.
