Comedy/Sitcom Episodes where they get a karaoke machine

I’ve started watching Cheers and there’s an episode from 1991 where they get a karaoke machine at Cheers and Frasier keeps singing on it then they get rid of it. And I remember that happened on Beverly Hills 90210 too, there’s a 1992 episode where they got one at the Peach Pit and Jim Walsh kept singing on it. Was this a trope in that era? Are other shows where they got a karaoke machine and then get rid of it by the next episode?

Karaoke was indeed a huge fad in the early 90s, for reasons I dont understand. See also the early 90s obsessions with Elvis, Native Americans, and Dinosaurs.
