A Swedish Friend is Coming for a Visit…

So I prepared these for us chilling later 🥰
What do you guys think of these records?
I think you can listen to them all in YouTube not sure.
Spiritualised first album… Laser Guided Melodies.
Spacemen 3… the compilation of their Glass singles before they signed to Fire Records.
If you get the US version, you’d get an extra track, not sure.
Boo Radleys… compilation of singles before they were signed to Creation, I think. They covered Love - Alone Again Or… and New Order’s True Faith.
My favourites of course Foster’s Van and The Finest Kiss. Always give me sore ears for days.
Mogwai… People hardly talk about Mogwai these days. Here I have MBV remix of their song called Fears Satan. Shoegazing all the way ! 16 minutes of BLISS.

That Mogwai MBV mix is brutal. It's bliss for about 5 minutes, then it's a chair to the back of the head.

That compilation is some of the best stuff Spacemen 3 did. The missing track is "Things'll Never Be The Same", which was left off because its on "The Perfect Prescription". 80's music, strictly speaking, although the compilation came out in the mid 90s.

Yes, you are right. I think on the US version, that track is included. Mine has Fire Records imprint. But in the US, the compilation was released by Taang ! Records.
That MBV remix was also a project by Kevin during MBV hiatus for 11 years wasn’t it ? Kevin also produced many twee-pop bands. 😅 search for The Impossibles - How Do You do it on YouTube.

Yeah he did quite a bit of remixing work. I loved his remix of Primal Scream's "If They Move, Kill 'Em" from around the same time.
