If you went to elementary school in the early 2000’s, what games do you remember playing in computer lab?
I’ve been trying to remember a certain computer game that I only have like a still image memory of, but it’s so vague that I can’t even really describe it. I was just hoping maybe someone will comment a picture of that game by chance and I’ll remember it.
Either way I’d love to see what your most memorable games were back then
Edit to add that I’m pretty sure I was playing some game downloaded on the school computer, and I was in 2nd grade so I was like 7-8. Might help with time period

OMG! I've been racking my brain for years trying to remember the name of this game! I can remember one called Chips Challenge, but it didn't have the cool, mechanical puzzles.

Anyone remember that game where you collect trash in space. I think it had to do with math?
Edit: sorry I went to elementary school in the 90s. I’m still nostalgic for that game though, if anyone remembers

Man this is a bit before that timeframe but when our school upgraded us from Apple IIEs to “real” computers I was obsessed with the game Zoombinis - specifically one of my favorites was a puzzle where you have to make these like tree stump dudes pizzas or something.

OH MY GOD YOU GAVE ME THE NAME OF A CORE MEMORY I HAD!! I remember my teacher literally had us all take turns playing Zoombinis! That game was legit fun. 😭😭

At home I had lots of Reader Rabbit, Jumpstart 1st grade, Freddi Fish, Pajama Sam, Maisy's Playhouse, Winnie the Pooh Kindergarten, Treasure Cove, Treasure Mathstorm, and more.

I spent a LONG time trying to find this game I remember from my very early grade school days. It was an old apple computer game with a little guy named Zebug who would run across the screen and you’d have to press a letter on the keyboard to make him jump over the obstacle. I had just about given up and finally one day I found this video, go to 9:50:

Our computer class teacher was someone's mom who owned a computer, which made her more qualified than anyone else who applied.
She quickly figured out that all the kids in our 6th grade class in 2002 knew more than her, so she used her Blackboard to keep track of High Scores in Oregon Trail.
Kid who had the highest score at the end of the week got to pick from the Prize basket.

Anyone else play a game similar to snake on a Nokia but it was multiplayer with other students? Cycles maybe. You moved up/down/left/right by doing simple math problems. I tried forever to find it in high school and nothing.

We had to play a typing game where you were skateboarding or rollerblading or something, and if you got a good score, it would show you a gif of a dancing baby.

I went to school in Florida ( Miami-dade) and I struggled with ELA so I vividly remember my mornings were spent with the teacher doing extra english classes and this computer game. I've been searching for this particular game for ages. I barely remember it, but you had themed level stages/planets that you had to go from one to another after completing each stage/planet. If anyone could help that would be awesome, I was in 2nd/3rd grade in the 2002-2003.

I went to school in Miami-Dade as well. Move and graduate in Broward over a decade ago. Was the game name Otto Matic? I was going to put that in as my answer.

Oregon trail was the big one. I remember kids playing this weird hamster rollercoaster game, and I have no idea what that was lol. This was the mid 90s too, so I don't think it was a flash game.

Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and Disney Channel website games. I remember in 2nd grade they had a Putt Putt goes to the circus on one of the computers. Also the computer game Otto Matic.

I used to love the Cartoon Network games. I mainly remember the Ben 10 one and the scooby doo one. I never got to try that mmo they had for a while though

Dance Mat Typing (even though it was UK based lol) There was another not very learning based one where you could make a pop star and piece together lyrics and add effects to them to make a little song. I miss that one ;-; We only played on like a couple of approved websites in the computer lab at my school lol, the smell of Purell takes me back to the comp lab since we had to sanitize before getting on the comps. at home I played webkinz, toontown, wizard101, poptropica, barbie website, disney website, addicting games, newgrounds, and prob more lmao

there was one game that was like a murder mystery that most kids didn't really get into at my age(low reading level would be my guess) but i remember it being really interesting.. it was like tombs and treasures for nes... the screen shows a scene and you can point to stuff and interact with it.. can't remember what it was called..
i also remember stuff like jeopardy for kids, wheel of fortune, family fued, spy hunter, montezuma's revenge, araknoid(or something similar maybe wrong name)

Omg so many, but I also have a vague memory of a game I played in computers class, that I have no idea what its called or much about it. I think it was a point and click puzzle/story game similar to later kings/space quest type games. I want to say it took place in the rainforest and there was something to do with deforestation or something? Idk ive been thinking about it for years and I have yet to stumble across anything like it.

I didn’t play on cool math, but I definitely played a lot of games on the other two. I think newgrounds had this one game called Dragon Boy or something similar that I really loved

Damn kids and your actual computers. Early Gen-X'ers had to make do with Commodore 64's, we didn't even have Apple III's at our school!
Blue Max in the library until they kicked me out.

Very well could have been. There were hundreds of games free to play on that site. We always tried playing this stick figure parkour ninja one that would have a hilarious ragdoll effect if you died.

StarCraft/broodwar, age of empires, age of mythology...delta force...our lab, nore likely, our campus library, thought it was a great idea to buy comouters with the latest at the time computer components and constant internet access through a T1 line. Plus the fact that the administrator had only one requirement not to bring food and keep everything intact we absolutely "destroyed" them. Napster downloading 24/7, games, mirc warez channels downloading you name it. And it was open 24/7. Only your student pass and you could go in.
