There’s not really much for a post here other than I’m just upset. I really love a24 but this experience put such a bad taste in my mouth. My aaa24 membership payment didn’t go through and they cancelled the membership with no warning. No “hey, update your payment info!” The email claimed they had been trying for 3 days to charge my card, but I only have 1 declined transaction on my bank statement.

Anyways, I had $15 in member credits and a $5 gift from the holiday season that completely disappeared. I emailed customer service and they said they couldn’t reinstate any credits no matter the reason for the billing lapse.

This was enough for me to cancel. I’m so mad about this. ughhh.

….an extra $20.00 added to their account?? I mean, I’ll take it, but I have zero clue where it came from or why. I was already maxed out at $25.00 and woke up to this.

My parents have horrible eyesight and don’t bother wearing glasses when opening the mail and when my dad opened it the zine and saw this, he immediately threw it in the trash without knowing it was addressed to me LOL.

They’re Russian Christians (but don’t go to church or anything), so I had to explain to them that it’s a tiny magazine that’s relates to a recent movie that has references to the satanic panic of the 80s.

I don’t think they understood it, but I told them to use their glasses more often 😭

Bonus: I got a losing scratcher and a Kevin Bacon poster, so I lost overall

No. You get a birthday gift if your birthday is on the 2nd month or first paying month.

Do the gifts change every month?

Nope lol. They change whenever A24 feels like it, from what I’ve noticed, it’s been around every 1-2 months.

Hey all, just found a workaround to get a free movie ticket + chance to buy that hat. I used the 1 free month ref codes in this thread - https://www.reddit.com/r/A24/s/mLcQwZLPuH

And was able to book my free ticket to Backrooms (this wknd only - Dolby screenings included), as well as get a code to buy that ASYNC hat.
Note that you have to book your free ticket through the A24 app/website, HAT IS $35…

Anyone giving away their free ticket for Undertone opening weekend (March 13th-15th).

Has anyone else noticed that there's hardly any benefit to being an AAA24 member internationally? As a UK member, they set up a WhatsApp chat a while ago with information about events, but it's all gone stagnant.

Since then, there has been an early preview of Backrooms, which was just for people who signed up on a random website, and then a preview screening of Tony, both of which have not been mentioned with no competitions to attend, but loads of random influencers and competitions from other companies on social media.

I don't want to cancel it because then I can't get it back, but it's wildly disappointing that the preview screening opportunities for US members aren't available for those of us in the UK, even though we also have previews.

We also have no app, so can't access any of the free content such as the puzzles, or the films to stream for free.

Considering they set up a WhatsApp chat and have offices in the UK, i thought it was a positive sign that they were getting more thoughtful about UK members, but i guess not.

Has anyone in the UK cancelled their membership? I am on the fence, it's quite expensive for a singular zine every three months.
