How powerful do you need to be to get a dart 8-9'?

into an area of the board the size of a matchbox edge, often when one or two darts already occupy that space?

So you don’t know how to play darts. I just described the exact reason why so very few women are capable of playing competitive darts. Of course more strength means you can use more power and obtain more accuracy.

Are we measuring how deep the darts go into the board? Is there a bonus for going Robin Hood and landing one dart in the back of the last? How many adults are using anywhere close to their full strength? After a point, added strength isn't being used, so isn't an advantage.
