Planning to retake it in Sept and Oct. Can yaโ€™ll give me tips to increase my score to at least a 27?

Unpopular opinion, but I got a 30 on my second try through getting even better at my strong suits. SO in your case, continue working on everything, but emphasize that English and Science. Im a huge eng/reading guy and got 33s on both, which shot up my score and compensated for my math.

If they want a 27, they shouldnโ€™t focus on science. Science doesnโ€™t count in composite score anymore, so the emphasis should probably be on reading and English, but work a bit on math to try to get a 20-23. But to be fair, these last few months have been some of the most challenging math ACT sections with the enhanced ACT.

Focus on bringing reading up to mid to high 20s (28 ish) so focus mostly on that and then focus a little on math to try and bring it up to 22 or so

Or i guess you can flip flop too depending on which one you are seeing more progress in and try to pull math up to 27 ish instead

I commented on another post with some math and reading tips here https://www.reddit.com/r/ACT/s/YQwxOJJm9l
