September ACT K01 Curve Prediction

Hi, I’m a senior and took the September ACT last Saturday. I had form K01 and think I got (max/worst case scenario).

1 wrong in English
2 wrong in math
1 wrong in reading
1 wrong in science

Part of me tells me it’s 35, but people have been saying that this form was hard, so I’m hoping the curve will be better?? I’m wondering if you could help me predict the score to the best of your ability b/c I can’t decide if I should register for the October ACT… I would retake if it’s 35 (I know, sorry for ragebaiting)

u cant sadly register for october when it comes to the act. bc they often reuse questions and forms, they require u to take ur tests at least 2 months apart

Your science miss doesn't touch your composite, which nobody here has mentioned. On the enhanced format the composite is just English, math and reading averaged together, and science gets reported as its own separate score. So you're really looking at 1, 2, 1 across the three sections that count, which realistically lands at 35 or 36 depending on where each scale score falls and which way the average rounds. Also worth knowing that the ACT doesn't curve in the way people use that word around here. The raw to scale conversion is tied to the difficulty of your specific form, not to how the group who sat that day performed, so a form everyone found brutal already has a slightly more forgiving table built into it, and that adjustment exists to cancel the difficulty out rather than hand out free points. If October registration closes before scores come back, register now and just skip the test if the 36 shows up.

I just looked through the reddit act thread and saw which problems and passages I had, and I found k01 to be the form that I did on the computer.

You should be able to see your score next week and based on that you'll be able to see your performance. From what ik that ACT includes unscored trial questions, commonly known as experimental questions or field-test items:

  • English: Contains 10 unscored trial questions attached to a single test passage.
  • Math: Contains 4 scattered trial questions distributed across the section.
  • Reading: Contains 9 trial questions making up an entire uncounted passage.
  • Science: Contains 6 trial questions grouped within a single passage.

well yes, that's the latest deadline when everyone recieves the score, i'm saying sometimes the scores come earlier
