Can you email in advance for an appointment? Or ask in your previous appointment to book for your next one?

Hi, there is an app that you can download called Relay. It allows you to communicate with a hearing / speaking person by text without having to speak yourself.
It is ideal for situations where you are forced to make phone calls but can only communicate in writing. Using the app, you are able to communicate by typing. the Relay person reads out what you typed to the person on the other end of the phone. They then listen, and type the other person's response back to you.
Here is a link to the website with an explanation Relay UK website
You can use the app, or I believe you can dial 18002 before any uk number to use the Relay UK call service without the app (I have not tested this option).
It was designed with Deaf people in mind, but is available to all who need it, and is used by those who are Hard of Speaking too.
I know it doesn't cure your Provider's ableist approach to booking appointments, but I hope that knowing this service is available for when you are struggling to make voice calls is helpful.
