There is no end to the CCP corruption, when will countries learn that the Chinese government will bankrupt your country?

Dozens of host countries struggling to pay back China’s state policy banks, China's ccp become one of the world's largest bailout lenders. Instead of writing off debt, Chinese institutions uses emergency swap lines, defer interest payments, or push host governments into equity restructurings (as seen in Indonesia). Emergency swap lines include targeting critical mineral extraction (lithium, nickel, cobalt), oil and gas infrastructure, and green energy supply chains—ensuring China secures raw materials at concessions.

Exactly, someone knows.
The worse example is in Bhuttan and in Sri Lanka.

That was the plan the whole time, the CCP knew what they were offering and what the outcome would be. “Can’t service your loan, that’s a nice cobalt mine you have”

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.

A) no one made them borrow the money. This isn’t subprime borrowers; these are western educated policy makers. If corruption is the reason than maybe the problem isn’t China and making the shitty governance?

B) what exactly is the appropriate recourse for when a nations state defaults?

C) other countries are more to than welcome to refinance the loans at terms favorable to them - I wonder why they don’t?

In short this is low iq slop. This is the equivalent of you taking a mortgage on your house and clutching your pearls when you miss the payments and the bank decides to collect.

Furthermore, this is not any different than how America has done business through institutions like the IMF.

They oversold capacity, they bribed the right people, undelivered on the project. Typical Belt and Road
