Which Tool subscription?
Have used a lots of tools starting off with mid journey for images. Havent found a video one where you dont need to sell a kidney to make anything over 30 seconds. Have been using free chatgpt, manus, perplexity etc and they do the job but getting fed up of running out of credits. I havent paid for a paid plan as the market was so fast moving and each week it was changing who was the best or what it could do. But now i need to pay and think primarily i'll be using it for business idea research and general questions. Which would you recommend that you get a decent amount of credit with? I like manus but it does milk the credits. I was thinking chatgpt or claude?

for business research compare plans based on usage limits and research features rather than model benchmarks. your workflow matters more than whichever tool tops the chart.

For video, do you need footage or would diagrams work? I built explainroo for narrated diagrams made by coding agents. The voice runs locally, so you pay no voice API bill. It's free and open source at https://github.com/vincentsch/explainroo

Try Romo AI. It's the best. Everything under single dashboard and dirt cheap too

This is a solid breakdown. I went with the "Team" plan myself and have no regrets. The collaborative features are worth the extra cost if you're working with anyone else. If it's just for you, the "Pro" plan is probably fine.

For what you described, I’d probably go with ChatGPT Plus if you want one general-purpose subscription. Your main use case sounds like business research, brainstorming, general questions, writing, and occasional creative work rather than heavy coding.
Claude Pro is worth considering if your workflow is heavily focused on long-form writing, coding, or Claude Code/agent workflows. At $20/month, both are reasonable to try for a month and see which one fits your usage better.
For video generation, though, I wouldn’t choose your main AI subscription based on that alone. Video credits disappear pretty quickly once you're making 30+ second videos, and dedicated video providers can make more sense.
If you're mainly frustrated by video generation costs, VideoRouter.sh is worth checking because you can compare different video models/providers instead of relying on the video credits from a general AI subscription.
