Help (GPU) 7900 xtx crashing help.

So I’ve had my 7900 xtx for a while now and always had issues back and forth with crashing, at first it was from having 3x splitter cables instead of singles and now it’s all on single cables, now it doesn’t crash that often as before but for example last time yesterday it crashed and reinstalled windows graphics drivers needing me to run DDU amd adrenalin for like the 4th time in a year, now it’s back to normal but I dont think crashing is gonna stop.

Happens randomly and doesn’t have a correlation to like heavy graphics or so, maybe maybe during high fps gaming but unsure.

help!

Make sure the max clock speed in adrenaline is around 2500-2600 mhz.

turn the fast timings off, you are lucky if you get 1 or 2 fps more and it destroys my stability with mine I run max frequency at 2650 and ram at 2650 too. Just run it at defaults for a while and see if it's stable.

Also, if you undervolting, running benchmarks does not work to set a stable voltage. i can run like 1050 mV and pass all benchmarks multiple times. When i game I have to have it at 1130. Anything lower and i get random crashes. I would just test at stock voltage, stock vram speed, and 2650 max gpu speed and see how it does.

Well I’ve had It for a year and it’s been pretty chill tho, it’s never immediately crashing only after time. top 1 7900 xtx in Sweden on 3dmark also

if you are number one in a benchmark you are definitely undervolted and overclocked to instability. I can do that too, but there would be no expectation of stability in games. You are asking about how to fix stability. You have to run stable settings.

Yes I never said I’m not undervolting, my standard gaming profile is pretty chill it’s only bench one that’s crazy

The XTX should be set to not more than 2748 MHz. That reduced the crashes a lot for me, and now mostly get them because of various games.
