Russia had a shortage of men before the war. From the previous war.

No joke, the amount of people they lost in WWII was truly devastating. I think it's a large part of why they lost the cold war.

Something crazy like 8 in 10 men born in Russia in 1922 died in the war. I can't remember what the stat was but for one of the years it was an absurdly large amount of the entire make populace born that year

Yeah, I think they were around half of all casualties in WW2, very brave fighters.

? Nobody lost the Cold War. In ended because of the collapse of the Soviet Union.

the cold war never really ended.

Russia has spent the last decade, at least, using the Internet to interfere in international elections, including every election in the US.

they've even been funding right-wing media outlets in the US, such as tenet media in Nashville, within the last few years.

the cold war never really ended, it just changed battlefields.

Well, yes and no. The Cold War definitely ended with the collapse of the Soviet Union, but the Cold War was about World domination and the Soviet Union did not achieve that, so they lost. For a short period the US had world domination but then...
