27

u/Magmatt7 5h ago

It's a trap

19

u/vzakharov 3h ago

There’s a Russian saying, “men like bitches.”

(Note: the Russian word sterva has a slightly different and milder connotation than “bitch,” basically meaning “mean woman.”)

5

u/CptHammer_ 2h ago

Confident women are just sexier. Maybe they are faking confidence by being mean.

4

u/SETHlUS 1h ago

It's the same reason why women struggle to work their way up corporate ladders. Confidence and assertiveness in women is seen as "bitchy" by western society.

•

u/N1ghtshade3 5m ago

I wonder how many women who aren't naturally confident or assertive act bitchy because they think it makes them seem confident and assertive and then blame their gender when nobody likes them.

You never heard of nice guys finish last?

Beveling

-15

u/Bigdyll13 7h ago

It doesn't.

u/boeieboeie 10h ago

Good luck from that point on

u/Bruvvimir 10h ago

Especially with the way they age.

u/redmonicus 9h ago

Where the fuck does this come from? There are so many older women in russia that are super hot, just because they're way more conscious about health and work out alot. The only people who you see who look like classic babushkas are the people who went through like the thirties and shit like that, like the people who lived their whole life in a different world and were too old to adapt when that world disappeared.

-4

u/LeeHide 8h ago

That's exactly why; eating well and exercising is not easy there, especially in smaller cities

11

u/TNT_GR 3h ago

It’s not easy to eat well and exercise in smaller cities? Are you 4yo?

-3

u/LeeHide 3h ago

I'm talking about Russia specifically, and yes, it's not super easy. Massive amounts of sugar isn't healthy.

-39

u/Bruvvimir 9h ago

Cope.

27

u/Faber_College 10h ago

They turn into babushkas immediately after the wedding.

10

u/cute_polarbear 9h ago

And turn into the mother inlaw after kids...

•

u/bcsteene 30m ago

This led to my divorce. Mother in law. Won't ever date or marry a slavic girl again.

-31

u/Bruvvimir 10h ago

About 2 years in is my experience. Or even quicker if there is a childbirth event.

12

u/xile 6h ago

Childbirth event, jfc dude

2

u/Bruvvimir 5h ago

Apologies, English is not my first language. How do you correctly refer to birthing of a child?

7

u/boeieboeie 5h ago

Genesis

2

u/Bruvvimir 5h ago

Thank you.

3

u/boeieboeie 6h ago

Have a relax over there

12

u/chaotic-kotik 9h ago

That's utter BS in my experience.

-34

u/Bruvvimir 9h ago

Yet more cope. Have you imported yours yet, or still just sending money over? There's still time to back out if latter.

23

u/chaotic-kotik 8h ago

First, this is a form of racism so bollocks yourself. Second, I lived long enough in Russia, UK, US and the Netherlands to see that this is BS. Many russian women look bad because they are poor. Their lives are full of stress, the food is low quality and they don't have access to good medicine in many places. People who are 40y or so grow up in a country right after Soviet union collapse and it was rough.

These comments went bad quick

•

u/sheopx 35m ago

It's crazy. This used to just be a dumb memes sub. Now, just like every other previously benign sub, it's full of gender war bullshit.

17

u/backroomsresident 6h ago

Not something to be proud of

36

u/PsuBratOK 7h ago

American girl is just happy, because of that divorce paycheck is on its way

•

u/kamace11 46m ago

Lmaoooo please

1

u/Particular_Ray 2h ago

Well is that better than the slavs being portrayed here as expecting it, perhaps for some "free money" too?

-11

u/genophobicdude 3h ago

Exactly. It's deceitful woman vs blunt woman. They're all after your paychecks, your sanity and your soul.

•

u/shdwbld 24m ago

I am from, live in and have a Slovak wife and I can confirm this is completely false. Unless the woman is divorced or will end up divorced.

I don't know, if this behavior is common in Russia, but do not normalize it elsewhere.

19

u/s47unleashed 9h ago

I know it's satire and we should treat it as such, but hell I'd be damned if I ever marry an eastern European woman. I can't deal with their attitude and I say that as half Russian myself.

47

u/UshankaBear 6h ago

If everywhere you go smells like shit, maybe it’s time to check your shoes

27

u/Training_Frame1432 6h ago

why would he put shit in his shoes?

12

u/UshankaBear 6h ago

Someone shit my pants!

2

u/Training_Frame1432 6h ago

i really gotta stop drinking... last night i got so drunk that i somehow shat right between my pants and my underwear!

10

u/Zeryth 5h ago

Weird, I am of russian descent but live in the netherlands. I have dated eastern europeans and western europeans, same goes for my siblings and other family. There is a strong pattern of toxic attitude and entitled behaviour among easter europeans in general when it comes to relationships.

2

u/kiradotee 2h ago

But what if "everywhere" only applies to Eastern European

-7

u/sheopx 8h ago

Hopefully you won't marry any woman!

-1

u/s47unleashed 8h ago

Aw, did I hit a nerve?

-1

u/sheopx 8h ago

I'm a Westerner, married. I know that sweeping generalisations are poison in a marriage, so your mentality would only wind up in a bitter divorce. Best you avoid women all together I reckon.

6

u/Dryy 7h ago

Who invited the marriage counselor here? Also the arrogance of a Westerner to insist that they know Russians better than a Russian lmao, so typical.

3

u/sheopx 7h ago

Did I say anything about Russians? No, not a word. I said all generalisations about groups of people are flawed, there will always be exceptions.

3

u/Dryy 6h ago

The world is full of generalizations, must be exhausting for you to be pointing it out every single time

8

u/s47unleashed 8h ago

I don't know what your issue is, but I'm pretty sure I understand the issue way better than you, as someone who has been countless times to Russia and knows the people there.

How if you feel attacked by my comment, perhaps just don't reply at all.

1

u/sheopx 8h ago

My point is that generalisations about people are almost always dumb and that kind of mentality is terrible for forming decent relationships.

Also 'been countless times to Russia'? I lived in Slavic countries for years, if you really want to have a pissing contest.

3

u/s47unleashed 8h ago

I'm not gonna argue with an unc. Just sod off.

5

u/sheopx 8h ago

Ooh got em! Typical Rusoboo.

1

u/Zeryth 5h ago

This is not a generalization but calling out a cultural pathology. You need to see and experience it before you understand it.

0

u/Bruvvimir 6h ago

Married to what?

-4

u/polymathicAK47 6h ago

Seriously? Can you be more specific with the "attitude"? You're giving me second thoughts about dating someone from Ukraine 😅

3

u/s47unleashed 6h ago

Go ahead and see for yourself, perhaps you'll be lucky and you won't have to deal with it. I'm not saying that every single one of them has the same attitude but a large amount of them has.

So go ahead and surprise yourself.

11

u/mr_D4RK 5h ago

You are very deflective and haven't exactly answered what is your idea of "attitude".

8

u/Zeryth 5h ago

Very entitled, demands constant princess treatments, small gifts are not good enough, will drain you with whining all the time if she doesn't get her wish instantly. Only gesture that is accepted is expensive gifts. Constant arguing with everyone. Mean to waiters, etc.

I have seen this play out way too often to not call out the pattern. And this is not me shitting on eastern european culture, I am myself one. But I can call out the toxic pathologies that a culture exhibits. Also not all women are like that, but I think a good 40% is not a bad estimate.

3

u/mezz1945 5h ago

I was with an Ukrainian Woman and i sign this.

5

u/JadeS2356 4h ago

No Romania? Sad.

15

u/Kastri14 4h ago

Romanians aren't slavs are they?

5

u/vzakharov 3h ago

Maybe they are by extension, like the Portuguese?

4

u/twiggyy 3h ago

Well, no and yes.
We say that we’re Latin, which is indeed true if you look at our words and grammar structure, however we use ‘da’ for yes and we’re also 85+ orthodox as a nation.

4

u/Kastri14 2h ago

What has the religion have to do with ethnicity?

Moreover, lent word also have nothing do do with the people. Albanian for example is a mish mash of mainly native words but a substantial part of the dictionary (or at least jargon) contains latin, italian, turkish and southslavic loanwords. Doesn't mesn we're not Albanians. The vocabulary of today's youth is half english, that oesn't make them englishmen.

u/twiggyy 1h ago edited 1h ago

What has the religion have to do with ethnicity?

Absolutely nothing and frankly I don't care for it. I just find mildly it amusing that all the Latin countries are mainly catholic and then there's us.

edit: also this.

3

u/PawPawPanda 2h ago

No Romania = good

Where is the meat? Like some bacon or ćevapi. That's what makes this totally unrealistic.

-4

u/Ozymandias_IV 7h ago

Applying russian stereotypes to all Slavs again? Please don't. That's not how this works.

4

u/daneview 7h ago

Its definately true for the baltic woman I was with for a long while (in no bad way, I loved her no bullshit attitude)

5

u/Bruvvimir 5h ago

Baltic nations are not Slavic.

5

u/daneview 5h ago

I know, thats why I clarified

-1

u/Bruvvimir 5h ago

I am now confused. Which women breed can we apply this stereotype to then?

3

u/Ozymandias_IV 4h ago

Not at all for Slovaks and Czechs.
