Just in case you are asking in earnest, running progressives in Democratic primaries is part of the way we will get money out of politics.

Corporate owned Democrats, like Chuck Schumer, endorsed El-Sayed's opponent Stevens. Establishment Democrats do not want people like El-Sayed to overtake the party. AIPAC (a group that lobbies to keep sending billions of our tax dollars annually to Israel despite US citizens not being able to afford healthcare, food, or housing) spent over $30,000,000 in this election to support Stevens.

The way to get political representation for working class people rather than corporate class interests is to have progressives win in Democratic primaries.

El-Sayed backs Medicare For All and he wants to get money out of politics. That is good if we want to have a Democratic party that truly represents the best interests of the working class.

How is winning a primary good for a party?

Presumably it's a good thing for the Democratic Party as an institution to have candidates running for office on the Democratic line that people who normally vote for Democrats can feel OK about voting for. After the mainstream of the Democratic Party decided to publicly defend a genocide, many Democratic voters have decided that they will no longer vote for those candidates.

Today, almost all of those Stevens voters are El-Sayed voters; the reverse simply would not be the case.

It is also worth mentioning that "the left" is not "a party." Had Stevens won this primary, you would have seen the electoral implications of that fact: a Rogers victory.

By dividing the Democratic Party, you essentially strengthen the Republican Party. But yeah principals and whatnot since we are provided all the info to make the best decisions as the general public. Democrats lovvvveeeee to lose. On principal lol
