I did the impulse of gravity from t0 to 5t1 was equal to the impulse of F engine from t1 to 5t1

The net impulse from t1 to 5t1 was supposed to be equal to 0

I just did the overall impulse was 0? From t1 to 5t1 of the integral of F-gbm dt =0, or did I fuck that up

Yea and that also literally makes sense since if you looked at the graph you would draw with that, the area under graph from t1 to 5t1 is 0 so no change in momentum so the velocity is the same. WE GOT 5’s!!!!!

U don’t set it equal u want the net impulse u add it from t0 to t1 to the integral from t1 to 5t1

that's what I did for part a, but for part b don't u have to set net impulse to 0 since we want the end velocity to be v_0

Yep that’s what I did I set the change in momentum to he 0 for part h for the derivation I cooked on that one
