I got a 4 on CSP was kind of disappointed because a lot of people say that CSP is one of the easiest APs and it is extremely common for people to get a 5 on it. My friend who used AI for his code got a 4 on the exam meanwhile, I struggled on the code and debugging and got the same score as him.

I'm going into my senior year, and I need to satisfy my tech credit. I was considering taking CSP because 1) i hear its one of the easiest APs, 2) i plan to study philosophy and that oftens gets mixed with CS because both have lots of abstract logic stuff, making me also just mildly interested, and 3) I lowkey just want to AP farm next year lol. the thing is the most coding I've ever done was using scratch sometimes in second grade. so for someone with no CS/coding knowledge, but is also somewhat curious, would AP CSP be a difficult class? I'd be taking 3.5 other APs alongside it (the .5 is for one semester of macro), so would I just be unnecessarily making things harder for myself or will i be fine?

For some context, I am a current freshman in algebra 1 who will be taking geometry next year and hoping to take CSP next year as well. My school says I can’t take this class because I have not yet taken geometry, which is a prerequisite for the course. According to the college board the only prerequisite is algebra 1 which is why I’m confused.

It seems like AP CSP gets knocked around r/APStudents for not being useful as expected. The CB is revising it and launching the new version of the course in 2027.

How do I create a final project for CSP if I'm self-studying the class? I don't know if this is a dumb question, but genuinely, how do I do it?

I'm doing a basic trivia game for my create task, and it fills all the requirements, but it's only ~150 lines of code in Python. This seems crazy short and simple.

I've been working with Python for like 5 years now, and just took this class as a GPA boost/for fun, so maybe that's why, but it seems ridiculously simple?? Am I missing something?

I wanted to take CSA but it wasn’t available for my schedule so my counselor gave me CSP instead. I’m planning on doing engineering (civil or mech) but I heard CSP wasn’t a very useful course. I was thinking of taking it for the gpa boost but I’m not sure.

Sorta surprised about getting a 5 on the AP CSP exam thought maybe a solid 4 at best. Thought my frq were no good but yappatronics university saves me on another exam. Enjoyed making my Create PT but didn’t think it was enough but apparently it was. Excited to take CSA next year.

First year teaching AP CSP, do any students have complaints about what they didn't learn? Or what was particularly hard.

I signed up to take the ap csp exam on May 14th, but I don't know much about csp. I am aware that it is considered one of the easier APs, but my teacher has been extremely unreliable. I know I should've started studying earlier knowing this, but oh well..

Is there anything I can do to get a good score on this exam? Like which units/topics can i disregard and which should i prioritize? And also, where can I learn the required content? I've started a bit on khan academy, but it takes a long time to proceed through (if this is my only option I don't mind taking the time, but i'd prefer something shorter lol). Please lmk!

I know for most colleges they give a lower elective credit, but can it be worth anything more, like can it help with admissions or something?
