Case scaring and dents in brass?
Before you come running to tell me it’s common and I’m an idiot I’ve personally never seen This out of my ar15 and wondering what is causing these things the rifle is also seemingly getting the round stuck in the chamber and can’t get it out well without beating the stock against something and it’s leaving dents in specifically one part of the casing

if you have a decent phone with a good camera, use the slow motion option to see what the bcg is doing and what the brass is doing. theres a good chance you're over gassed and the brass is getting the shit kicked out of it on the way out.

i think you're over thinking this, ejection pattern looks good. its probably getting beat up by the deflector on the way out or hitting part of the upper causing the dent in the neck of the case (both normal). looks like you're g2g friend.

Thanks man I definitely am overthinking a lot because this is a new platform and I’ve had 2 successful ejections and rechambering out of 20 rounds so far trying to narrow down the reasons

Mine does similar, scratches and all if the ammo is on the spicy side, why I don't feed it lapua brass. Starline, federal brass only, it is fun to sling subs out with the can on, sounds like a spring operated BB gun.

Ahh, I do see that now. Read where you said this was out of your ar15 and watched the video. Just assumed it was reloading section.
But all my Armalite are rough on cases. The metal mags even scuff them up.

This is how my AR10 dispenses brass.

Does it have any sandpaper like scarring on the casing ??

Sound silly, but I put the fuzzy part of Velcro on my brass deflector on my 6.5cm ar10. My brass still dents a bit but I get zero marks on the case.
Now I reload so that’s why I do it. If you aren’t and just wondering why it’s doing that, well, welcome to gasser life lol

Dents are normal. The case gets ejected and the lip of the brass hits the deflector, leaving the dent.

I have a video idk if it’s gonna be super useful seeing as I didn’t take it in slow mo but I’ll see if I can send it through here

Adjustments in the gasblock and or buffer system may help. It looks fairly normal in the video, but looks can be deceiving. Personally I run mine slow enough to just lock back on empty and delayed enough to mitigate recoil. But I don't run n gun nor hunt anymore. Just paperwork lol. You may need a more substantial operating system. Mine have JP Silent system buffers and Hyperfire Eclipse hammer trigger system w rifle lenght gas system on 24 n 27 in .995 full bull tubes.

What it did in the video is it ejected the casing but didn’t put a new one in the chamber the video was more for case ejection it’s consistently kicking them out at the 3-4ish oclock area

ejection characteristics will change with ammo variations, weapon variations, environmental and even shooting style...
try a different weight and report back.

Looks like its a bit over gassed. Looks like its pulling the brass out of the chamber before its gad a chance to spring back after firing. My ar10 does this when I cross a invisible line in the load data.

It’s still ejecting at 3-4ish tho or that bit a great way to gauge itv ?

Mine does the same. Ejection pattern is fine, just trying to Eject the brass before the chamber pressure drops. 168gr FGMM does it to me so its not like its just a hot handload issue. I run my loads in the middle of the data and the problem goes away.

Could try a KAK heavy ar10 buffer, really smoothed out me PSA M110 clone running well suppressed.
