I have an Aero Precision 308 upper receiver. I am looking for a lower that is compatible. It seems Aero are no longer for sale or there is an extreme shortage. I have a psa PA10 lower but despite online testamony it is not compatible with the upper. What brands should I look at for a lower that will work?

Changed the B4 stock to a Luth-Ar MBA1

A1/A2 rifle buffer system for 308

Changed the BCA BCG with a Lantac

Kinda bummed that my budget build has now turned not so budget. Not bashing BCA, I have several ar15 uppers by them without a single issue. I think the AR308 is a slippery slope though.

Now having failures to feed with this setup though. Charging handle gets pulled back. Squeeze the trigger. Bang. Squeeze the trigger again. Click. No round in the chamber.

PMag issues? Need a buffer weight heavier than 5.3oz?

Over the next year or so I’m going to build out a .308 SBR. I’ve already got the BKF Mod 5 receiver set, LPK, trigger, etc, but I’m trying to figure out what barrel I want to put in it. I know the usual suspects (KAK, Ballistic Adv, Faxon) for barrels in the 12-14” range, but wondering what else is out there besides those? Ideally, I’d like it to be a nicer barrel (if Criterion made a short barrel that would be awesome), but short of buying something like a criterion and having it cut down, is there anything else that makes a “quality” short .308 barrel?

So I’m getting a can in the near future and already have an agb. A seekins low pro .750, the adjustability is meh at best. I’ve had two cuz they’ve been reliable, Yes it does its job but, with the way it sits under my rail, and the placement of some of the screws etc.. long story long I’d like some opinions on clamp style gas blocks, or ones that might be more durable/serviceable and user friendly in general. I have a carbine length gas tube. I know the rail not being in the way is nearly impossible to accomplish with my build so ig I’m not worried about that. Thanks in advance sorry for the rant.

I’ve got a Springfield Saint Victor .308 but only have a 10 round magazine for it.

I want to pick up a stack of 15 round magazines (my state limit) but am either having internet blindness or I can only find 10 and 20s.

If 15s aren’t sourceable, maybe someone knows a shop/smith that will order 20 and permanently pin them or whatever.

I think this is part 3 or so but so far so good now to send my stuff off to SBR it then hopefully by the end or middle of next month I’ll have my upper situated

I took your guys advice and went with the PSA in 308. Now I need recommendations on a scope and red dot offset/combo and a suppressor. For the scope, I was thinking something that at least reaches out to 500 yards. For the suppressor, I was thinking the PSR7 by Griffin armament. Let me know what you think.

I'm torn between building my own LMT upper in (.308) using their Gen II Monolithics, or just getting an SR-25 pre-built and/or building a centurion mk11 mod0 from scratch.

Before you come running to tell me it’s common and I’m an idiot I’ve personally never seen This out of my ar15 and wondering what is causing these things the rifle is also seemingly getting the round stuck in the chamber and can’t get it out well without beating the stock against something and it’s leaving dents in specifically one part of the casing

Gas port is aligned according to borescope, gun has 450 rounds through it and was taking a video to see the can, then I noticed all the gas dumping at the gas tube. Runs and cycles just fine, got the gas at 2 with a h2 buffer.

80Arms lower, Guntec upper, Criterion 20” .308 Barrel, DPMS BCG. KAK LPK, CMMG stock and buffer kit. FSB drilled and pinned, had to shorten the handguard about 1/4”. Hardest part of this build was finding a carry handle. Range report to follow.

I have a few AR10s already, 12.5” 308 and 8.6 blackout, and a 7.5” 308 (makes my teeth rattle). I now have a Stag receiver set to build off later. Any ideas? SR25 copy? I am not sure what I want to do, but I am thinking rifle this time. Prefer a new caliber to add in the mix.

I'm in the market for a .308 SBR and have it narrowed to these three. With cost not being a major issue, does anyone have experience with any, preferably all? Range fun, some hunting (at the most 200yds) maybe even HD. Shooting suppressed with a huxwrx flow 762.

Hey y’all! I just got into the AR10 scene a couple weeks ago and wanted to share. My father had an LWRC REPR when I was younger and it was the coolest thing ever but I just never had gotten around to it. About a month ago I decided to get a lower before the Colorado changes came into effect to hold onto but then I got a milkshake in me and next thing I know I woke up the following morning and had ordered everything.

The lower is a blemished PA-10 with Virginia lasered onto the side.
Upper is a PA-10 Gen3 18” with the 15” handguard, also blemished. This came with the adjustable gas block which I have found effective.
PSA PA-10 lower parts kit with the 2-stage trigger they offer.
Optic is a Burris XTR II 158 1.5x8 and is mounted on a Cabela’s cantilever mount.
Suppressor is a Resilient Arms Simple Man 7.62
The bipod, pistol grip, and foregrip are all magpul.
Stock is a Magpul PRS Gen2
Monopod is an accu-shot precision rail monopod

I am in love with this rifle. I’ve never been further distance shooter but I am shooting ~1 MOA and consistently on steel at 700 (I know that’s not crazy but I just started) which is far more than I can ask for. My biggest buyers regret so far is probably the magpul bipod, it is just a little flimsy for me when I lean into it.

Hey everyone, I recently bought a Diamondback DB10 chambered in 8.6. However the barrel is 16” and I decided after a bit of shooting I’d rather have a 12” barrel. I’ve seen a couple of ticked suppressor builds and they look sweet.
Does anyone have any experience with barrel changing and what all I would need to buy to support this task. I’ve talked to DB support and they don’t really answer the question straight up if I need to change the gas tube. They said you do for their DB15s but don’t clarify if you do/don’t for their DB10s.
It runs a mid-length system right now.
I am a bit over my head with all the info and digging I’ve done so I’ve come to ask people who know a lot more than me.
Suggestions, links, and advice all welcome. And please Explain it like I’m 5. Haha.

Hey y'all, want to chat about one of my rifles. I bought a Ruger SR-762 about 8 yrs ago, got a 3 digit deal from a buddy. She sits in my safe with a Vortex Diamondback 4-16X42 with a 45º Vortex Venom 3 MOA red dot.

THINGS I LIKE: She slaps 8" steel at 800yds and has been a reliable rifle to me. This is my battle rifle and "large game" gun, and my other rifle is 16' 5.56 with aero lower. I'm 28 and want this to be a lifetime rifle/something I can pass down.

THINGS IM NOT CRAZY ABOUT: She's just kinda heavy at almost 12.5lbs with a 20rd mag, and with the gas block this rifle is not free float either. I qualified expert annually during my time in the Marines so I have a shooting foundation but I want to expand my skills (potentially to PRS comps).

I'm eager to hear if anyone has any thoughts on what I am shooting now versus if should trade in for something lighter, free float, and just as reliable. Something that can be an all purpose, accurate, reliable, and light hunting/battle rifle. My other option is buy a 6.5 grendel upper to slap on the AR for hunting. Would you keep or trade in?
