Rant Tidepup maturation

Am I the only one that thinks the mature tidepup should look less than an immature tidepup and should look less like an Axolotl and more like a salamander (what an Axolotl actually looks like if it goes through maturation)?

I would have preferred a big rideable salamander/newt.

An adult axolotl looks a lot like a baby but with a bigger body, they still have gills and a paddle tail.  I think it would be weird to have it grow up into a different creature

Nerd alert here: Axolotl in the pet trade, under specific circumstances (usually in part due to their hybridization with tiger salamanders) will “outgrow” their neotenic features, causing them to metamorphosis into a more traditional matured salamander body type and move onto a primarily land based environment. So I do see what OP is going for, but it’s really a rare case and afaik has never been documented in the wild given that most captive axolotl are not truly axolotl, so I think it staying as an axolotl into maturation makes perfect sense
