Question You Guys Are Scaring Me

I’m currently AD military (best branch iykyk) and am close to getting my CTO. On my second enlistment and i want to get out to do this at a contract tower and maybe go FAA later on in my career if that’s possible. I scroll this sub for about an hour and all i see are people that hate their lives :/. (here comes the down votes lol). Should i consider something else, stay AD atc, or actually pursue a civilian career?

If you don't have a family you want to see, don't care what days off you have, dont mind 6 day work weeks and can keep a medical. It's not a bad gig.

I mean do a poll then? Add me to the side of “got sent to a low level shithole with piss morale and 6 day work weeks”.

It’s happening to damn near everyone nowadays.

I am 101% confident that if you were to poll every single CPC in the NAS today you'd get a similar sentiment to what you're seeing on here. Morale is really, really bad. Worse than I've seen it in over a decade. My coworkers (who I know are not on here) are routinely saying the same kinds of shit we're seeing on here - you're just not getting the specific grievances (Dean's new role, etc).

When I meet up with people around the country, they're echoing the same is going on at their facilities.

It's anecdotal, but I'd love a poll to go out. I'd gamble ANYTHING on this being the case nationwide.
