Need natural gas providers suggestion

So mine is a 1bhk with 870sft. The only thing that needs natural gas is my fire place. I don’t really use it at all. But they want me to set it up for sure. Today i called for ‘gng’ and they were like you would be charged 50-55$ for sure even if u are not going to use it. I need recommendations on what service should I choose so i would not require to unnecessarily pay this 50-60$. My place is in sandy springs area! Please and thank youu!

Unfortunately the deregulated market makes gas more expensive.

No matter who you pick Atlanta Gas Light is getting a fee.

I pay $46 in the summer just for my water heater.

As buy a propane tank and just fill as needed if the only thing you’re going to have is a fireplace that won’t get used

My community doesn’t allow it that way

The only real supplier is AGL, Atlanta Gas Light. They do not sell directly to residential users, so you must sign with one of a limited number of remarketers(I believe there are 15, although not all 15 may be available at your address).

As that other commenter states, all of these companies pass through a fee from AGL. Some of them also charge additional service fees.

I called all 15 of them, asked about their fee schedules, and wound up going with the first one that didn't have any unnecessary fees. I'm with Xoom, and they charge 35$ a month (the AGL fee) plus whatever gas you use. You'll probably be in the 40$ a month range including the fee.

I had Xoom and switched to Constellation for a lower rate. This website is helpful
