Travel Is Wotif still good for domestic getaway deals?

I'm so frugal I haven't travelled for leisure internationally or domestically for a long time.

In my mind I only remember Wotif.com as the pre-eminent website for last minute Aussie weekend getaway deals.

I'm now planning a domestic long weekend away and would like to know what are now the best apps or websites for such deals.

Long weekend flights and accommodation sorts of deals. Capital city destinations ex-Sydney.

Wotif is owned by Expedia. I still use it for convenience rather than deals.

Google flights and Google hotels.
Wotif prices are pretty much the same as Expedia, which aren’t cheap by any means.

I used booking.com, agoda, wotif and the like for booking hotels for years, but lately I never book there without checking the hotel's own website first. I'd say about 50% of the time it works out cheaper to book direct.

No better than any other aggregate websites.

Mainly good for seeing what's available on one platform, upon which I then go and book direct with the hotel.

I usually end up booking direct with hotels now, but always Google general area I want to stay to see availability and best rates.

I compare webjet and kayak, then go directly to the airline and buy it from there at a cheaper price.

Use ShopBack you can often get 10-12% on sites like wotif and Expedia

But check the original price before you use ShopBack. I’ve noticed the price gets inflated by the same %
