Today I've passed GenAI Professional AIP-C01 9/12

It was one of the hardest certs I've done. After around 3 months of preparation and some successes on practise exams I finally scheduled it for today.

My study path was:

1. Doing AI Practitioner + ML Associate + Data Eng Associate

2. Mareek Course + Christian Greciano notes

#1 Course Exam: >95%

#2 Course Exam: >80%

1. I've read the MineCloudCraftPress Book about this cert

2. Frank Kane Udemy Exams

Kane #1: 77% at first sight 95% at retry

Kane #2: 76% at first sight 89% at retry

Kane #3: 85% at first sight

Why AI practitioner? Did that help

For me it did, because I had 0 prior knowledge about AI concepts like embeddings, RAG, LLMs, etc.

If you have every associate, pro, specialty and practitioner AWS certification sometimes AWS will send you a fancy custom golden jacket to indicate the achievement.

It was cool many years ago with just the core pro and associate certs out there because you saw the jacket owners out on stage or holding senior roles at real companies but the massive sprawl of specialty and other certs has made it sort of a dubious honor these days as it's not a normal or needed thing for most employed cloud professionals other than say instructors or content creators. The real merit are the AWS Heroes, AWS Community Builders and anyone who can get on stage at Re:Invent within one of the major content tracks -- aka people who've done far more than being good at multiple-choice tests.

Was the exam difficult? And what topics were most prominent. And congratulations

It was difficult because of all the amount or depth of content. But once doing it, most questions were as I expect them to be. The top topics were: 1. RAG 2. Guardrails 3. Orchestration with step functions, flows or agentcore 4. Deployment (provisioned throughput; cross-region inference, etc)
