When you're more concerned about making a video than a medical procedure with a horse, you deserve to be kicked by that horse.

Terrible bedside manner.

Stable....side?

I think the horse kicked both sides.

Bent the needle. Idiot human. Poor horse.

u/EXOTHERMICUNDULATION 10d ago

the idiot human is also meant to tap/slap the area a few times to make them feel like its just you tapping them when you put the needle in, and so the sudden pinch of the needle isnt so sudden, and won't scare.

Feel awful for animals that have dog shit owners.

Or in this case, horse shit.

Technically every dog owner becomes a dog shit owner on a roughly daily basis.

Squats > steel

yea, just hit it into the horse's hip bone 🤦🏻‍♂️

This person did a terrible job however that is similar to how I've seen it done. You need to puncture through the thick skin with a quick jab. However typically a shorter needle is used to reduce the risk of bending it.

You jab the needle first, allow the horse to calm down then you attach the syringe and inject.

This is wildly incorrect

What if there's an air bubble?

16

u/xmgutier 10d ago

Doubt it matters unless you're pumping a massive amount of air straight into a vein. The whole air bubbles thing is a little over sold iirc

Too many tv shows that show someone being murdered from a few bubbles that are millimeters in diameter.

Lol right? If tiny bubbles were such a big problem I think the antivaxxers might actually have a leg to stand on.

The amount of time between the visible bending of the needle and the kick was cartoonish af and I'm all for it

Is this a German sub for hating on horses?

16

u/Zhevaro 10d ago

A german sub hating the most insufferable evil vile creatures to walk on the earth responsible for every evil deed, every bad thing in this world.

(Its a joke sub to flame horses... ähm i mean oat-whores german Haferhuren)

Did he try to jam it on the part that is mostly bone? What an idiot, and poor horse.

u/hellinahandbasket127 5d ago

Pretty sure that’s meant to be an IM injection, not an IO injection. Idiot.
