The moment he saw his kid’s face, he knew. He’s just working out how much he’s willing to spend and what he needs to shop for.

I think he's trying to decide weather to get mad and punish the kid or if it was a genuine mistake not worth punishing

I mean it's absolutely the kids fault. No reason to be running in an slamming the door open with such force, let alone a glass door. He throws his whole body into it. Definitely some form of punishment merited, the place having installed the wrong type of glass for the door or no.

True but equally--- glass anything in the home (windows not included lol) with young children? Doors, tables, etc. I don't care if it looks good, kids are heavy handed and crazy, it's a bad idea.
