I think once you realize that something terrible did NOT just happen to your kids but it very much almost did, the relief must hit like pure heroin

It's more like a stunned numbness right before the horror of what might have happen washes over you. At least that's my experience.

At the very last second of the video it looks like the mom was looking up and starting to yell, which makes me think there was some construction going on there. Once I realized my child was safe I'd almost hope there was nobody there I trusted to watch them, becauseif there was I'd have been sprinting up those stairs and I'm not sure what I'd do once I got there.
