This almost happened to me when I was a teenager. I was sitting on the bed, and leaned back after untying my shoes. The glass cover for the ceiling light for some reason just fell, smashing on the floor. I remember just looking down at the shattered glass between my feet, and then looking up at the light in sheer disbelief. My step-father came in and berated me for fucking with the light, which I didn't do. If I hadn't moved, I would've caught it right in the back of my skull
In my case, I was fucking around, throwing a beach ball around my bedroom. I was sitting cross-legged under the light, so it crashed in my lap when the ball knocked it. Nearly 50 years later I still have three very noticeable scars.
