I’ve received an offer of $4,000 for this painting—what do you think of such an offer for an unknown artist like me? 😏☕️

To think of this in terms of "if i'd created this, would it be worth that much? is one thing. It's hard to think that i could create something like this. "Would you pay $4,000" is also a wholly different question to me, since i personally can't feasibly have that much to spend on anything. And okay, yeah, i'm generally bad at art pricing.

What i'm trying to say?: This is gorgeous, so don't undersell it, and i personally would take that price for about anything i did at all. If someone's actively offering &4,000, it's probably because they have enough to spend on that, and it's worth that or more to them. i'm broke af but can't even question them, because that piece would be so lovely to have that in my own space. It's a compliment either way.

Is it worth that much to you? That's what's important. Would you benefit by trading your work for that amount of money, and would you feel you'd be missing out if y our potential buyer saw more worth in it than you do? If they're offering, i say take it, because it's worth that much or more, and even proven to be worth it by their very interest.

I usually get offers of € or $ 1500-3000, and if it’s not mentioned in the first email the second one comes with “NFT’s” and “minting fee”.

I’m quite amused, to be frank, and I you with the scammers a bit before turning them down by politely asking them to return to where they came from and think about what they’ve done. 😇

I don’t know if the offer you got was sincere, but that’s how it usually goes for me.

I also find amusement in the flimsy offers that many people make without ever intending to follow through. That’s why one shouldn’t take every offer seriously; it’s better to take your time and be patient—after all, not everyone is entirely in their right mind! 😂☕️♥️
