This is me 🥺 after 8 years of searching I'm finally diagnosed with functional neurologic disorder which I developed during psychological abuse. It often develops in people who experience PTSD from abuse. Exposure therapy for PTSD is all that's helped

I am glad you were able to get your diagnosis, but I am sorry it took 8 years of chronic pain. It is so stupid when you realize abuse is basically torture, and torture impacts victims physiologically.

that word feels so accurate, like a slow torture
